We are a full-service, turn-key EPC and solar installation company in Missouri and Illinois. We provide full solar services from design-to-build (engineering, procurement, construction, installation) for solar systems, battery storage, smart panels, and EV charging stations.
Our mission is to inspire a solar community to create a sustainable world. We do this by providing premier solar design, installation, and maintenance services for solar photovoltaic energy capture and battery storage systems. We live and work in the communities we serve. As a Certified B Corporation, we are held accountable to our promise to prioritize people & planet in daily work. StraightUp Solar's design and installation portfolio of more than 2,800 residential and commercial solar projects adds up to 42.4MW of solar in our region. That's 84MM pounds of CO2 offset by our solar community! Each day we create an inspirational long-term legacy built upon caring for and empowering our team members and communities as we provide premier solar integration services.
Company History
StraightUp Solar was founded in 2006 on the notion of caring. Dr. Dane Glueck’s passion for solar renewable energy began during his medical residency in Kentucky, where he experienced both the ancient beauty and the ongoing destruction of the Appalachian mountain region in the name of temporary profits for coal mining operations. Energy from coal mining provided the region with vital electricity but also diminishing returns to the financial wealth of local residents, while leaving lasting consequences on the health and vitality of the local community. Dane built StraightUp Solar as one more way to provide care to his community, by actively changing the energy paradigm and providing people with choice in their energy source.

5 time St. Louis Post Dispatch Top Workplaces award winner! We donated the solar array on the St. Louis Zoo gift shop! Our President, Dane Gleuck, is also an orthopedic surgeon! We were featured in the 2018 Sierra Club "Reinventing Power" documentary! We have a 100kW solar array on our office building with 10 electric vehicle chargers!
Benefits
StraightUp Solar offers health, dental, vision, legal, accident and critical illness insurance, short and long term disability, and Dependent Care FSA. There is a company paid stipend given to each employee every month to reduce the out of pocket cost of insurance coverage. There is also $50,000 company paid life insurance. We offer a free Employee Assistance Program and cover continuing education costs for NABCEP certification. We have a 4% 401K matching program. We have a quarterly profit sharing program and we give employees 8 hours of paid time each year to volunteer within the community. There is an employee discount for going solar. Work shirts and all safety gear provided.
