The role is a major contributor in research and development efforts designing and building thin-film deposition equipment based on novel CVD processes. In addition, the engineer will support application specific projects demonstrating the equipment capabilities, and exploring new materials for thin-film applications.

Help Develop Next-Generation Semiconductor Equipment
ULTRA t Equipment Company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team focused on the design, build, and testing of advanced thin-film deposition systems. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a management position, offering the opportunity to work on innovative Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technologies used in the microelectronics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop advanced CVD thin-film deposition equipment.
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and complete process systems using SolidWorks.
Support equipment testing, process development, and system optimization.
Work with vacuum systems, process monitoring, and analytical tools.
Participate in application-specific projects, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and new materials development.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
5+ years of experience with CVD thin-film deposition technologies.
Hands-on experience with plasma-enhanced, laser-enhanced, or other energy-assisted deposition processes.
Experience designing, building, and operating thin-film deposition equipment and vacuum systems.
Strong SolidWorks CAD skills, including system-level design and 3D modeling.
Ability to provide examples of relevant design work, technical reports, publications, or presentations.

Laser systems and optics
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
Cleanroom environments
Design of Experiments (DOE)
Semiconductor or microelectronics equipment development
Project management
SEMI, CE, UL, or related industry standards
Research publication and technical presentations
